Beginning Cheese Making - Only one spot available. Making your own cheese is easy and fun. In this workshop you will learn how to make fresh chevre, fromage blanc, ricotta, paneer, and yogurt cheese. I'll show you how to customize the cheeses by incorporating fresh herbs, peppercorns and other spices. You will receive the recipes, detailed instructions, abundant samples and cheese culture you can take home so you can start making your handcrafted cheese right away! Cooling Inflammation with Food The best defense against inflammation, experts say, is your diet. Anti-inflammatory foods contain compounds that can prevent or decrease inflammation, thereby reducing the risk of degenerative disease. You will learn the difference between pro- and anti-inflammatory foods, and the best food preparation techniques. Sample some of Birgitte’s delicious recipes that help boost your health and support your metabolism to prevent inflammation, such as Spring Vegetable Salad; Curried Vegetable Stew; Green Beans with Quinoa and Fresh Herbs; Fruit Salad with Coconut Vanilla Crème; and Thai Green Curried Coconut Tempeh.
